First Run

So, you've just finished installing HyperIM. The chances are it will run automatically after the installer is done. However, if it did not, you can run it by double-clicking the new HyperIM icon on your Desktop, or by using the Quick Launch icon (if you let the installer create a Quick Launch icon):

The following window will appear. This is where you create a personal profile to be used by HyperIM. Each separate profile will have its own statuses and settings. If you don't care about privacy and you're the only one to use the computer you can check the "Remember and don't ask again", after you provide a new user and password.

If you choose to be remembered and at some point in the future you will need to reinstall Windows, the pasword will be gone and you will have to enter it again. This also applies if you copy your settings files to another computer. If you can't remember your pasword all your statuses are gone for good.

After the new profile is succesfully created, HyperIM will ask you if you wish to check for any newer version. If you are sure you are using the latest version you can skip this step.
