This plugin extracts only BASIC media information from XMPlay media player

For more advanced details you should use the XMPlay extended plugin created by Cris.
I left this simple plugin available here, just in case you will experience problems with the one Cris made Tongue

Latest version: 0.1.0 - July 18 2006

Features:
- extracts song name, and also provides macros for separate artist and title
- customizable macro names

Tested with XMPlay 3.3, the latest version on date of this writing.

Could you release the plug-in source? I'd like to try to improve it.

I don't think there's anything to improve other than add a master macro. XMPlay does not offer any other kind of info about the played file other than its name.

Yes there is. By creating a DSP plug-in for XMPlayer, all infos about the played song are available. And then, all that's left to do is to send that data to HyperIM.

If you want to do this yourself, take a look at the AudioScrobber plug-in for XMPlay ( http://www.un4seen.com/forum/?topic=5398.msg36066#msg36066 ). You can download the source code of this plug-in to see how the infos are taken.

Well here it is. I've looked over those sources and I think that it reads the ID3 tags on-the-fly from memory. Also it seems that the XMplay window answers at the same messages as Winamp does, which I never knew! See what you can do.
